I loved this mystery novella Chapman has weaved. She does not disappoint . This is Eli and Martha’s story . Estate furniture is being sold for more than they are worth. What is going on? Martha is helping Eli trying to solve this mystery. Will they solve this mystery and an unexpected love?

Mischief in the Autumn Air is An Amish Harvest Novella by Vannetta Chapman. I so loved the characters in this novella Eli and Martha. Martha’s Aenti Irene is something else. This novella will have you turning the pages until the very end so you can solve this mystery. This story is packed with faith, love, devotion, heartache and a longing for more. I so loved this most wonderful story. Be sure to order your copy of Mischief in the Autumn Air by Vannetta Chapman today. 5 stars! I received a copy of this book for my honest review.
Ach, the wunderbaar Shipshe flea market & auction haus. Shipshewana is a real Indiana Amish town, a real place, a Hoosier wonderland of treasure troving. And the perfect return setting for Vannetta Chapman’s novella mystery. Auction barn owner, Eli, and his accounts assistant, Martha, team to sleuth the handmade furniture mystery.
I’ve been to Shipshe auctions, so I know this author “tells it like it is.” A great Amish tale released during Indiana’s Statehood Bicentennial. To top it off, Chapman also includes a second plot of midlife romance in this Indiana, ‘Crossroads of America,’ small Amish community. Typically, Chapman’s storytelling feels like real events in real time with the reader a participant. Quote “Treasure—for sure and certain.”
Once you buy your first Vannetta Chapman story, you will be buying them all.

This turned out to be one of my favorite novellas composed by Vannetta Chapman. It is delightful relating to the characters and their down to earth personalities, true to the Amish ways. All is not perfect, but the mannerisms and idiosyncrasies of human nature are represented honestly and realistically.

Shipshewana, Indiana is one of my favorite places to visit, and I could easily imagine each of the area highlights. Not only a wonderful mystery and story of relationships, this is an educational revelation of the history of the area.

I'll definitely be reading this story again. The detailing wrapped itself around my heart, and brought the past to the present. I highly recommend this entertaining novella! You can easily read it in an evening. Enjoy!
